Lap for History

The Lap for History gives riders a chance to take their motorcycles on a parade lap around the 2.4-mile road racing circuit at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and this year it’ll be led by the event’s Grand Marshal Steve Wise. The Lap for History event takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days.

All bikes must meet the track rules which include but are not limited to:

  • Street legal tires only, no knobby tires
  • Bikes must go above 25mph
  • All participants must wear long pants (no shorts) and closed toed shoes
  • Riders must wear a helmet
  • Bike must be clean and no leaking fluids
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • All bikes will be inspected before entering the track

A $10 donation per person to the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation is required.

How to Sign Up

Riders and passengers can preregister online. A $10 donation to the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation per person is required. Both riders and passengers will need to sign a waiver on site and be issued a wristband.

On-site registration will also be available during AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at the Ride Staging area.

  • Friday July 21: Staging at 11:30 a.m. ride starts at noon.
  • Saturday July 22: Staging at 10:30 a.m. ride starts at 11 a.m.
  • Sunday July 23: Staging at 10:30 a.m. ride starts at 11 a.m.

Where

Riders will meet at the staging area at the False Grid.
