SSR Motorsports AMA Pit Bike Championship

All motorcycle racing is fun, but minibike racing is really fun! Whether you refer to them as minibikes, pit bikes, boonie bikes or something else, racing small-displacement motorcycles around a compact dirt track with your friends is some of the most fun you can have on two wheels — and a great complement to the more serious competition that happens in every other racing discipline at VMD.

The event will feature a variety of exhibition classes for four-stroke motorcycles based on 50cc, 70cc, and 110cc models, along with one of our most popular divisions, the Trail Bike Class.

The Trail Bike Class is limited to motorcycles featuring a vertical, air-cooled four-stroke engine with a manual clutch and transmission. Motorcycles equipped with 12” wheels are not permitted

A special Vintage Mini Motorcycle Class will feature pre-1982 80cc mini cycles with the following specifications. Vertical two-stroke or four-stroke air-cooled engine configurations. Manual clutch and transmission. Period-correct machines consistent with the era. Eligible models include but are not limited to. Honda XR75, Suzuki TM75, Suzuki RM80, Honda CR80, additionally, air-cooled 1978–1981 Yamaha YZ80 monoshock models are permitted.
